I'm based near Dover in South East Kent in the UK, 21 miles from the coast of France and in the North Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. I was employed professionally as a microscopist and scientific photographer for over 40 years, but have a wide range of photographic interests. I'm currently a member of Merging Arts, a new group of artists based around Canterbury, and participating in their exhibition 'Impressions' as part of the 2009 Canterbury Festival. Other recents exhibitions have included a month at p@ints.uk in Folkestone, and as a contributor to 'The Bar Turned Upside Down' at The Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury. My main areas of interest at present are landscapes, portraits and graphic images based on light sources. Although I have been working with digital media for nearly 20 years I am keen to preserve and promote traditional chemical based photography and the simplicity of pinhole cameras.
